Elementary Tutor

Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Provide individualized virtual tutoring sessions in reading, writing, math, and science for students in grades K–5

Design engaging lessons that align with North Carolina Common Core Standards

Assess students’ strengths and areas for improvement to create personalized learning plans

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress

Maintain accurate records of sessions, attendance, and progress reports

Utilize online learning tools and platforms effectively to create an interactive learning experience

Foster a positive and supportive virtual learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field (required)

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in elementary education (K–5)

Strong knowledge of North Carolina Common Core Standards

Proficiency in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science instruction

Experience with virtual learning tools and online educational platforms

Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace
